A 24-year-old man and his girlfriend are dead and a teenager wounded following an ambush in Arouca on Sunday night.
Reports state that Daniel Camacho, along with his girlfriend Shenelle Edwards 22, and an 18-year-old woman were travelling in a gold Nissan Almera, on Hindustan Extension, Arouca, around 10:15 pm when three gunmen got out of a Honda Civic that was parked nearby and shot at their car.
The three men got back in the car and sped off.
Camacho and Edwards were declared dead at the scene.
Officers from the Special Evidence Recovery Unit (SERU) found 39 spent 5.56 shells and two live rounds of ammunition.
The 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital where she is stable.
Investigations are ongoing.
