Two suspects connected to a shooting in the Maloney area on Wednesday morning, have been detained by police.
Police said the shooting occurred at about 9 am near Building 9 where one man was shot and wounded.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he is at this time being medically treated.
The two suspects in the incident were caught and arrested by police officers at the Piarco traffic lights intersection along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway and two firearms, ammunition and cellphones were also recovered.
The two suspects were in a silver Tiida which was intercepted by responding police officers.
