While this country’s murder rate may appear to be alarmingly high, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is actively working towards curbing the various incidents of crime.
This is according to Acting Commissioner of Police Mc Donald Jacob.
During an interview with the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 Digital this week, Commissioner Jacob also pointed out that the combined effort of the police service and citizens will redound to a greater reduction.
Citing statistics of the previous year, Commissioner Jacob said although the concerns of the population are valid, he is cautious of labeling the crime rate as having escalated since the TTPS has been able to make major inroads.
