Cipriani College of Labour And Co-operative Studies Book Launch On Saturday

The Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies will be launching its third publication, “The
Caribbean Social Justice Agenda” on Saturday 29th July at 4:30 pm.

The launch will take place at the C.L.R. James Auditorium of the College’s Valsayn Campus, Churchill Roosevelt Highway, Valsayn.

The book aims to set the discourse on a wide range of issues related to the future of work and sustainable Caribbean development, social justice, industrial relations, governance systems, social protection, and social dialogue.

Cooperatives and community empowerment, the future of education, migration, and
security, among others, nationally and regionally.

This work represents scholarly contributions from researchers presenting original and innovative research that contributes to the theory, practice, and public policy dimensions of work, migration, labour, and industrial relations and related issues.

Dr. Hyginus “Gene” Leon, President, of the Caribbean Development Bank, will deliver the keynote review.

In attendance will be Stephen Mc Clashie, Minister of Labour, and Line Minister for the College.

Professor Brian Copeland , the newly installed Chairman of the Board of Governors of the College will preside over the launch.

The Caribbean Social Justice Agenda makes an important contribution to the search for fairness and equity
in the face of a rapidly changing international economic system that is couples with natural and manmade
disruptions.

This volume, the first in a Social Justice Series to which the College is committed examines the pertinent
issues, including governance, digitalisation, migration, regional security, the changing world of work,
employment security among other.
