Charges to be filed against Grenadian javelin champion in Harbor Master incident

The Former attorney general of Grenada and lead attorney for the Harbor Master crew members accused of assaulting Grenada’s world javelin champion Anderson Peters, said the athlete could face criminal charges arising out of the recent incident aboard the Harbour Master.

Cajeton Hood, the lead attorney on the case, said they may also go after Peters’ brother on a charge of making a false report to the police.

The captain and three crew members are pursuing criminal charges against Peters and his brother, their lawyers announced in St George’s yesterday, according to a report from WPG10 TV journalist Calistra Farrier.

Hood is alleging that Peters and company lied to the police regarding the incident last Wednesday at the St George’s Port as the Harbour Master crew was wrapping up a party cruise.
