Cardi B and Patti LaBelle have teamed up for the holiday season to promote Patti’s Good Life pies and the rapper’s Whipshots alcoholic whipped cream.
“I’ve been her mother in my mind for a long time because she’s just all that and a bag of chips. And I’m all that and a bag of chips,” LaBelle said of Cardi in a new interview with People.
Cardi B admitted to being star-struck to meet the R&B legend.
“I feel like I’m not worthy; I just feel so shook!” the hip-hop star shared. “I’m super starstruck. I’m on my best behavior.”
“Oh, don’t be on your best behavior with me because I’m really bad,” LaBelle joked, to which Cardi replied, “Miss Patti, I will be doing splits on these tables.”
Cardi B’s Whipshots (vodka-infused whipped cream) partnered with Good Life pies to add spice to your holiday festivities.
The global superstars kicked off a social media campaign on Thursday (Nov. 9) that will span seven sitcom-inspired episodes.
“We’re going to try your Whipshots with my Patti pie,” LaBelle explained in the teaser.
“Let’s do pumpkin,” Cardi suggested, but LaBelle wasn’t initially feeling that pairing, asking, “Pumpkin for sweet potato?”
Cardi reassured the music icon that the products will “make love together.”
“You gotta trust me on this one,” Cardi B added.
LaBelle’s Good Life Pies are available at Walmart, while Cardi B’s Whipshots can be found where most alcohol is sold.
