A 46-year old Siparia man has been found dead near a fishing site in Santa Flora.
The body of Harrison Deonarine was found with marks of violence.
Deonarine’s son told police that his father left their Quarry Village home around 9 am on Tuesday to fish at Grand Ravine Santa Flora with a friend. However, he never met up with the friend or made contact.
When he failed to return home, his son and daughter-in-law went to the fishing area around 8:15 pm on Wednesday and saw his father’s car, a white Nissan Sunny, parked on the road.
They searched the area and found his body about 100 feet away in a bushy area. There were wounds to Deonarine’s head and left upper back.
Police are continuing investigations.
