Officers of the Ste Madeline Police Station have arrested one man after he was found in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The 38-year-old Coquette Street, Ste Madeleine resident was detained by officers on December 16th 2020 after they received a report of a person armed with a firearm in the same area.
On arrival at the scene, the officers observed the suspect holding a pair of pants in his hands.
The officers searched the man and found a black and silver pistol fitted with nine rounds of nine millimetre ammunition wrapped in the article of clothing.
The gun was seized and the suspect arrested and taken to the Ste Madeleine Police Station, where investigations are continuing
