BHP’s Ruby Project expects first production next month

BHP has announced that the Ruby project in Trinidad and Tobago is progressing ahead of schedule and on budget, with first production on track for May 2021.

According to BHP’s operational review, the Ruby Project is ahead of schedule and on budget. The company estimates the project is 78% complete.

The Ruby project is projected to include five production wells tied back into existing operated processing facilities, with capacity to produce up to 16,000 gross barrels of oil per day and 80 million gross standard cubic feet of natural gas per day.
