Fifty families were recipients of Deeds of Lease distributed under the Government Aided Self-Help Housing Programme.
A ceremony was held at the Government Campus Plaza Auditorium, Richmond Street, Port-of-Spain on Tuesday.
The beneficiaries have an option to renew, for twenty-seven residential lots in Chaguanas and twenty-three in Carapichaima.
Additionally, programme beneficiaries have access to low-interest rates (2% – 5% ) from the Trinidad and Tobago Mortgage Finance Company Limited, building plans from the Land Settlement Agency as well as assistance and guidance to meet statutory building requirements.
They were encouraged citizens to utilise the various services and programmes of the State, which are provided at no additional charge.
