Bandits rob Princes Town bar and leave behind magazine with a quantity of ammo

In a bid to make a quick escape, two bandits left their gun magazine and a quantity of ammunition at the scene of a robbery in Princes Town.

Reports state that sometime before noon on Monday, the two suspects, one armed with a gun, entered Three Palms Bar at Buen Intento Road and held up the bartender, a 24-year-old Venezuelan woman.

They robbed the bartender of an $8,000 cell phone, her work permit, $1200, $10 Peruvian currency, US $100, $100 Canadian currency, a gold chain with a heart pendant and an undisclosed sum of money from the cash register.

The police were notified after the suspects left the scene and upon their arrival, officers found an extended magazine with five rounds of 9 mm ammunition and a bag with seven rounds of 9 mm ammunition.

Investigations are continuing.
