A bandit is in critical condition at hospital after he was shot while allegedly trying to rob a Woodbrook businessman Thursday morning.
Police say the owner of the Cookin Vibes restaurant was at his Carlos Street business place around 12:10 am, when he was confronted by three men who attacked him.
The businessman pulled out his licensed pistol and shot one of his attackers in the left leg.
The other two men ran away.
Woodbrook police were called in and took the wounded man to the Port of Spain General Hospital.
Investigations continue.
