Christon J Williams, the attorney for murdered state witness, Jehlano Romney, says his client’s request for witness protection was denied.
Romney was shot dead at a house in Poinsettia Drive, Morvant, on Sunday night.
He was the State’s main witness in the PC Gilkes shooting death.
Williams revealed that Romney had reached out to State organisations for witness protection but he had not been even placed in a safe environment where an intervention could have been made with respect to him and his life
