Atlantic LNG Supports the Safe Return to School for Point Fortin Students

LNG production company Atlantic is supporting the safe return of students to physical classrooms with the recent donation of personal sanitization kits to primary and secondary schools in its home community Point Fortin.

Atlantic recently donated 4,550 kits comprising essential items (masks, hand sanitizers and antibacterial wipes) to nine primary and three secondary schools. Valuing some $170,000, this donation aligns with Atlantic’s larger approach to support education in the community including its previous delivery of 1600 new laptops and tablets for primary and secondary school students. Also planned is the delivery of digital smart boards to secondary schools in the coming weeks.

Atlantic’s Manager, Sustainability and Corporate Communications, Camille Salandy, explained that this activity supports ongoing initiatives aimed at driving capability growth and sustainability in the Southwest peninsula.

Primary Schools receiving sanitization kits include Point Fortin ASJA Primary School, Salazar Trace Government Primary School, Cap De Ville Government Primary School, Fanny Village Government Primary School, Egypt Village Government Primary School, Point Fortin SDA Primary School, Guapo Government Primary School, Point Fortin Anglican Primary School, and Point Fortin Roman Catholic Primary School.

Secondary Schools included Point Fortin West Secondary School, Point Fortin East Secondary School, and Holy Name Convent Secondary School.
