The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts is advising the public on the temporary closure of the Manzanilla Beach Facility and the La Vigie Paramin Lookout.
The La Vigie Paramin Lookout will be closed from Thursday, April 14 until Thursday, April 28. This is to facilitate works along the Fond Pois Doux Road, currently in progress by the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA), aimed at supplying water to the La Vigie Paramin Lookout and the neighbouring community.
With these works underway, the accumulation of dirt and debris will pose a health and safety risk for persons who attempt to travel along the roadway. The general public is therefore advised to refrain from this area during this period of closure.
The Manzanilla Beach Facility also remains closed until further notice. This is to facilitate continued remedial works being done at the facility. Lifeguards will not be on duty at this beach during the period of closure.
The general public is therefore encouraged to visit the other sites and attractions, while being careful to observe the three W’s which are: wash your hands, wear your mask and watch your distance.
