Army beat Rangers for historic TTPFL double

Defence Force earned a thrilling 5-3 extra-time win to lift the inaugural Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League (TTPFL) Knockout Cup last night.

The win at the Diego Martin Sporting Complex, sees the “army men” do the double this season after they also won the inaugural TTPFL title.

Brent Sam scored a hat-trick while winger Reon Moore put on an attacking show as Defence Force held off Rangers after an enthralling 120 minutes.

Rangers fought from a 3-1 deficit to force the game into extra-time but Moore and Sam finished them off to walk away with the Cup.
