On the heels of a double murder in Pleasantville and two separate killings in Tunapuna and Blanchisseuse last night, police are now investigating a murder in Arouca which took place this morning.
The victim has been identified as Wendell Baptiste.
Police say Baptiste was liming outside a parlour on Bamboo Road, Five Rivers, at around 8 am when he was confronted by two masked gunmen.
Baptiste ran into the parlour but was chased by the gunmen who shot him several times before running away.
Passersby saw him bleeding on the roadway and took him to the Arima Health Facility where he was declared dead.
Investigations are ongoing.
