Anna-Lise Nanton crowned Miss World TT 2024

A new Miss World Trinidad and Tobago was crowned last night at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA), Port of Spain.

She is none other than 26-year old geotechnical engineer Anna-Lise Nanton.

Nanton, Miss PaxVale, Santa Cruz, placed ahead of Miss Aranguez Prishni Rampersadsingh and Miss Toco Hannah Roberts.

In an intervew with the media following her win, Nanton said: “it is an amazing feeling to have the opportunity to represent this country.”

Nanton’s win brought to an end the local reign of Aché Abrahams, who went on to cop the Miss World Caribbean title in the international leg of the pageant. Abrahams is currently in Vietnam fulfilling her pageant duties and as such, was unable to physically hand over her crown to Nanton.

Nanton was also a winner in the Fitness, People’s Choice and Talent categories.

The new Miss World’s prize package includes $100,000, a $20,000 scholarship from the School of Accounting and Management and a full wardrobe from some of this country’s top fashion designers.
