Four-year-old Amarah Lallite, who was beheaded by her stepfather on April 8th, will be laid to rest on Saturday.
The funeral will take place at the Faith Assembly, Arouca, from 11 am.
An autopsy on the child revealed that she died of blunt force trauma to the head and decapitation. She also suffered other injuries, including multiple stabs to the face. A GML report said it was alleged a car battery was used to bludgeon the child and a pair of scissors used to cut her lips and gouge out one of her eyes.
Amarah’s stepfather, Isan Contant, was charged last Friday, after Homicide detectives sought advice from DPP Roger Gaspard, SC. He appeared in court on Monday and was sent to the St Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital for observation.
