Akeliah Glasgow-Warner is sworn in as the new Chairman of the Diego Martin Regional Corporation.
The swearing in took place at the Bagatelle Community Centre on Wednesday morning.
Mrs Glasgow Warner replaces Sigler Jack as the new head of the Corporation.
Media reports say seven of the ten councillors sworn in today are females while three are males.
Meanwhile, Clyde James will serve as the new Mayor of Point Fortin.
Mr James will take over the leadership of the Point Fortin Borough Corporation Council replacing Saleema Thomas.
Councillor for Egypt Village, Kwesi Thomas, will serve as Deputy Mayor.
The swearing in took place Wednesday morning at the Point Fortin Town Hall.
