An appearance was not entered into by the Attorney General in the High Court in the Shervon Peters and Ors versus the AG matter as erroneously stated in the judgement.
This was revealed in a media release from the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs this afternoon.
The release said on review of the judgement of the High Court dated January 31st this year; the AG observed an error at paragraph three of the judgement in which it is stated “the defendant, having entered an appearance, failed to defend the matter.
Confirmation of this error was requested by the Registry of the High Court.
