Police are searching for the suspect who dealt a fatal blow onto a 63-year-old man in La Romain on Sunday night.
Around 8.40 pm, Deopersad Ramsaran of Pond Street, La Romain was liming in the yard of his home when he was approached by a man known to him.
The man asked for a cigarette and when Ramsaran allegedly refused, an argument ensued.
The suspect then hit Ramsaran with several blows about his body and left.
An alarm was raised and relatives contacted the police and emergency health services.
Ramsaran was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital, however, he was pronounced dead shortly after.
A search was conducted for the suspect however, up to late last night he could not be located.
