A five-year-old boy drowned while attending a birthday party at a water park on Sunday.
Damari Jeffrey, of Boxer Passa Hill, La Brea, was in company with his mother, Anika George, and other family members attending a birthday party at Fun Splash Water Park on M2 Ring Road in Debe around 4pm.
At around 4:20pm, the child was discovered by his mother lying motionless in the adult section of the pool.
Paramedics of the Emergency Health Services responded and emergency medical technicians attempted to resuscitate him.
They then conveyed him via an ambulance to the San Fernando General Hospital.
However, a doctor pronounced him dead at 6.16 p.m.
PC Rambarran and PC Hanuman of the San Fernando police station responded, made observations and requested CCTV footage.
