3canal pulls curtain down on its J’Ouvert band

In what will be end of a fantastic era, the band 3canal has announced that this year, 2024, will be the last year for the J’ouvert band.

In a media statement, the trio of Wendell Manwarren, Roger Roberts and Stanton Kewley, indicated that after thirty years, its J’Ouvert journey will be coming to an end with the portrayal of the Dutty Sailor mas.

The band is inviting its fans and supporters to jump on board the S.S. Bad Behaviour In Town.

Last night, 3canal launched the music video for Powder with a special edition of the Backyard Jam at the Big Black Box.

As part of their annual Carnival edition, the band will also host the 20th edition of its show, The 3canal Jammin’ on Sunday 4 and Monday 5 February at Queen’s Hall.

Although they have shut the door on J’Ouvert, the band says its musical journey will continue.
