Morvant police are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old Malick man on Sunday afternoon.
Kelum Williams was at his Upper Sixth Avenue, Malick, home at around 1 pm when he told a relative he was going to meet a friend nearby and would be back shortly.
However, around 1.30 pm, officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force who were on patrol in the area received a report of gunshots on Upper Sixth Avenue, near Valley Drive.
When they arrived on the scene, they found Williams bleeding on the road.
They took him to hospital where he was declared dead at around 1.45 pm.
