2023 Chutney Soca Monarch dedicated to Anil Bheem

The 2023 Chutney Soca Monarch will be dedicated in memory of the late Anil Bheem who passed suddenly on Saturday 4th February.

According to a release from organisers Southex, Bheem would have been the opening act at the Grand Final of the Chutney Soca Monarch carded for Carnival Friday 17th February at Skinner Park in San Fernando.

They said the opening will still surround Anil Bheem as they find a unique way to honor his legendary but short career.

13 artistes, inclusive of GI Beharry, who is defending his title, will compete at Skinner Park in San Fernando at the Grand Final.

The event is ‘free’ to the public.

The 2023 event will feature the top entertainers from the Caribbean in a special feature ‘Legends and Icons’ where 6 special artistes from the Caribbean region will be honoured. The segment will also feature performances from some of the icons of the Indo- Caribbean music industry.
The competition will also crown our 2023 Chutney Soca Monarch and also the 2023 Queen of Chutney Soca.
