2 teens in serious condition following St Joseph accident

Two teenagers were wounded in a vehicular accident in the Maracas, St Joseph, area on Thursday.

Around 4.10 pm, Kerwin Salina, of Maracas St Joseph, was driving a yellow Toyota Hiace panel van in a northern direction along Maracas Royal Road, St Joseph.

He told police that he later noticed a white panel van, which was driven by Deshawn Solomon, swerving out of control. The white van eventually collided with Salina’s van.

Salina’s vehicle was carrying several passengers, including Aisha Sammy, 16, Chris Simon, 54, an individual known only as Cody, 13, and Clint Thomas, 16. Simon and Cody were rushed to the hospital with injuries described as life-threatening.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
