Police detained two men in the East Port of Spain area last night with over 40 pairs of sneakers in their possession.
The men were held during a police operation in the capital, which was led by Snr Supt Ramdeen and Supt Smith.
The suspects could not give an account for the sneakers and as such, they were arrested.
Police suspect that the items are linked to a larceny of a store along Henry Street, Port of Spain on Tuesday morning.
