2 limers shot in Champs Fleurs; one dead, the other injured

A 36-year-old man was shot and killed in Champs Fleurs on Wednesday night.

Police said Devanand Ramrattan and another man were liming at Upper Mendez Drive, Champ Fleurs, at 11:05pm, when they were approached by a man wearing a mask.

The suspect shot both of them several times before making his escape.

Ramrattan tried to run and collapsed on the other side of the house.

His friend was found and conveyed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the left leg.

However, Ramrattan’s lifeless wasn’t found until officers of the Northern Division visited the house to investigate.
Sight spent shells were also discovered.
