The Ministry of Health says there are currently thirty-eight patients in hospital with COVID-19.
In its latest clinical update this afternoon the Ministry reported eleven new cases of the virus over the past forty-eight hours.
The Ministry says of the eleven new positive cases, two are recently repatriated persons.
It says of the total number of persons tested, thirty-seven thousand , seven hundred and sixty-two were done at private facilities.
The update said there are two hundred and thirty-four persons in home self –isolation, five hundred and thirty at state quarantine facilities and four at step down facilities.
Seven thousand and ninety-nine persons have recovered from the virus so far in Trinidad and Tobago.
From March 12th to present there have been seven thousand, five hundred and twenty positive cases of COVID-19.
To date one hundred and thirty four have died from COVID-19 in the country.
