Williamsville man gunned down while headed home

A construction worker from Williamsville was shot dead on the Solomon Hochoy Highway Extension in Debe on Saturday afternoon.

The victim, Curtis Harriot, 35, of Whiteland, Williamsville, was returning home with two friends after playing a cricket match when the occupants of a black Xtrail with flashing blue lights, signalled their vehicle, a white Ford Ranger, to stop.

Reports state that a man dressed in black came out of the Xtrail and shot Harriot, who was in the front passenger seat.

The other occupants of the vehicle were left unharmed.
