Various Steps Being Taken As TT In Third Wave Of Covid-19 Pandemic

The population is being assured various steps are being taken as Trinidad and Tobago as indicated by the government is now in a third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, was questioned on the subject in the parliament Wednesday afternoon.

A break down was given by Minister Deyalsingh of measures in terms of boosting vaccination sites across the country, increased bed capacity at the intensive care unit, and discussions continue with major pharmaceutical manufacturers for what he described as the cutting edge drugs.

Minister Deyalsingh was asked by Opposition Member of Parliament for Pointe-a-Pierre, David Lee, whether given the high number of cases reported daily and the high number of deaths is there a need to seek international help.
