Several body parts were found in a garbage bag in Cunupia.
Several reports indicate that a resident made a gruesome discovery when he stumbled upon a dismembered human leg in a river on Monday October 17.
The man was picking flowers for Hindu prayers just after 12.20 pm when he saw a man’s foot protruding from under a sponge bed in the river.
The man called then later made contact with Crime Watch who in turn notified the police.
Officers of the Cunupia Station discovered noticed the foot was severed, along with several other body remains.
A torso and what appeared to be human intestines were packed in garbage bags near where the foot was discovered.
Investigations into the discovery are continuing.
