Two T&T students to attend 2023 National Youth Science Camp

The U.S. Embassy in collaboration with the National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (NIHERST) have selected two Trinidad and Tobago secondary school students to attend the 2023 National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp).

The camp will run from June 19-July 12 in West Virginia, United States.

The students are Amarnath Choon of Shiva Boys’ Hindu School, and Daniel Sebro of Queen’s Royal College. The students’ attendance is supported by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the National Youth Science Foundation. This year applications were accepted from students 16-18 years old from across the country.

The NYSCamp is a residential science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) program in the eastern mountains of West Virginia, United States. The camp is designed to honor and challenge rising STEM leaders and provide them with opportunities to engage with professionals in the field.
