The Police Service will be at full strength during carnival festivities in Trinidad and Tobago this year.
Assistant Commissioner of Police and Head of the North Western Division, Winston Maraj, gave the commitment while speaking during a news briefing held at the Ministry of National Security in Port of Spain Monday.
Maraj, who is also the Gold Commander for 2024, told the media the major of police officers will be out to protect and service during the busy carnival period.
He said officers on vocation have been called out to ensure the existing strength of the TTPS is boosted.
Meanwhile, the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Operations Officer, Colonel, Colin Millington, says support will be given to the TTPS across all divisions in the country.
He said measures have been taken to ensure all carnival and non –related events have the backing of the Defence Force.
