TTPS Confirms The Death Of Two Officers In Shooting Incident In Central Trinidad

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service confirms two officers were involved in a deadly shooting in Chaguanas, in what appears to be a murder-suicide.

They are identified as Woman Police Constable, Josette Marshall attached to the Police Administration Building, and her male companion, Acting Corporal Dwight Skeete, attached to the Court and Process department, both located in Port of Spain.

No motive has been identified for the incident.

At 2:24 pm Tuesday, officers from the Community Police department, Central Division, were on patrol in the Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas area when they were alerted by a resident that there was a shooting incident at the corner of Opal and Kestrel Boulevard.

The officers responded, along with officers of the Homicide Bureau, and when they arrived at the address they found of bodies of a woman and a man lying in a corridor of the house.

Both were unresponsive and appeared to bear gunshot wounds.

Officers attached to the Homicide Bureau are continuing investigations.
