Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, is urging the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard to work closely with its Venezuelan counterparts to ensure border relations between both nations are improved and maintained.
Dr Rowley’s comment comes on the heels of the recent incident involving a TTCG vessel and a migrant boat which was reportedly in this country’s waters illegally.
During the ordeal a child was killed and the infant’s mother injured.
Speaking at Thursday’s official launch of the Maloney Community Swimming Pool, Dr Rowley highlighted the significance of the TTCG a better working partnership with the Venezuelan Coast Guard.
