TTMA rolls out 2nd vaccination phase

The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association on Thursday began Phase 2 of its ‘Vaccinate to Operate’ COVID-19 vaccination drive for the business community.

The TTMA was allocated a further 5,000 vaccines and President of the TTMA, Tricia Coosal, said these doses will be administered throughout the weekend at the Divali Nagar Site.

She said “this continued public-private partnership between TTMA and the Government, is an indication of Government’s confidence in TTMA to play a very important role in ‘vaccination for the nation’.”
“TTMA, in partnership with T&T Medical Association and SEWA TT International, has developed an effective and efficient template for the execution of mass vaccination drives.

Coosal added that “TTMA continues to stand ready to execute vaccination drives to support Government’s national policy to encourage persons to get vaccinated. This will lead to a safer work environment for all when the economy is reopened. It is important we take all the steps necessary to move forward in a positive direction during this pandemic.”

She added that to date, TTMA has successfully executed four vaccination drives with the administration of approximately 7,500 vaccinations.
