T&T received Disaster Response Equipment from China

Trinidad and Tobago received a donation of Disaster Response Equipment from the People’s Republic of China.

Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds received on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago,  which was presented by His Excellency Fang Qiu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Trinidad and Tobago.

The donated equipment comprised 30 Emergency Tents; 10 Standby Generators; and 5 Rescue Boats inclusive of Engines, Fuel Containers and 25 Life Jackets.

These items will be pre-positioned across Trinidad and Tobago to support disaster response and recovery efforts.
