Over 250 persons have been arrested for cable vandalism and theft.
This update has come from the telecommunication service of Trinidad and Tobago.
It say it continues to work closely with police to crack down on the high incideces of cable theft throughout the country.
TSTT CEO Lisa Agard issued a warning to would be criminals.
She also responded to a question posed by the Communication Workers Union on whether Amalgamated Security Officers had disposed of copper sourced from TSTT cables under questionable circumstances.
She said TSTT’s zero copper initiative continues apace.
She revealed TSTT has already mobilised additional contractor resources to repair cuts and restore services to affected customers.
