Traffic Wardens still awaiting salaries

With less than a month away until school re-opens Traffic Wardens are calling on Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan to pay their salaries, on time.

The parents who are employees of the Ministry argued that there may no longer be any books or school uniforms to purchase, as they may be sold out by the time they receive their salaries. It seems the employees have not been paid for over two weeks. The excuse they were given when contacting the Ministry, was that the printer was inoperable and, as a result, the cheques could not be printed.

Minister Sinanan is reported to be aware of the situation and has asked the accounting officers at the Ministry to deal with the matter.
