Tobago couple killed in 3-car smash

A three car smash on the sister isle of Tobago on Thursday has claimed the life of a husband and wife.

Fireman Christian Adams and his wife Theresa were killed when a dump truck slammed in their vehicle along the Claude Noel Highway near Rockly Vale.

The couple had one child.

Reports state that the truck, which was carrying a load of sand, struck two passenger vehicles and overturned.

One of the vehicles, in which the couple were occupants, was almost buried under the sand near the site of the Botanical Gardens.

An Express report stated that the excavator which was called to the scene to help, dislodged the truck, which tumbled down a precipice.

NO word was provided on the status of the other victims of the accident.
