Suspect in Amarah Lallite’s murder still at St Ann’s Hospital

The matter for the murder of four-year-old Amarah Lallite was adjourned yesterday (Tuesday 21 May), since the suspect remains at the St Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital.

Ishan Constant, 39, first appeared in court on April 15th and was sent for psychiatric evaluation.

Reports state that he was supposed to reappear on May 1st, however he failed to do so as the hospital requested more time for its evaluation.

Little Amarah Lallitte was beaten and beheaded at her home in Arouca on April 8th.
