Store employee asked friend to rob his workplace so he could go home early

Oklahoma police say a gas station employee is accused of asking a friend to find someone to rob the store he works at so he could go home early.

According to the Tulsa Police Department, the investigation began when the employee reported that a man walked into the store and handed him a note that read, “Give me all your money or I will shoot you.”

The employee, Isaiah Jones, handed over the money and the suspect left with cash.

Investigators identified and arrested a suspect three days later.

The suspect confessed to the robbery but then threw everyone under the bus when he claimed that a friend of his asked him to commit the crime because the gas station employee wanted to leave work early.

Police slowly worked their way back to the gas station employee by first arresting the woman who had set it up and then going through her phone and looking for evidence linking the employee to the crime.

Police then arrested the employee who eventually admitted to asking his friend to finding someone to rob the store because he was tired and wanted to go home.

He has since been charged with embezzlement and conspiracy to commit a felony.
