The People’s National Movement Sports and Family Day in Skinner Park, San Fernando, yesterday was momentarily marred by the stabbing of two teens, who are now warded at hospital,

The incident occurred at the back of the stands, leaving most of the patrons at the event unaware of the incident.

According to reports, the boys, ages 15 and 17, from Pleasantville and San Fernando, were at the event liming with family and friends when another group they did not know approached them at 2.45 pm.

An altercation took place, and police believe the attackers broke glass bottles and stabbed the boys.

Police at the venue intervened but the suspects had allegedly ran away.

Emergency Medical Technicians on-site took the boys to the San Fernando General Hospital, where medical staff treated them. One of the boys was cut on the neck while the other was cut on both hands.
