South Oropouche man shot dead while strolling with his wife

An evening stroll turned deadly for a South Oropouche man last evening.

Dwayne Kern Saunders, of Coker Street, was shot and killed while walking with his wife on a road near their home around 6:45pm.

Reports state that a grey Nissan Teana pulled up alongside Saunders and a man wearing a mask and armed with a firearm alighted the vehicle.

The gunman walked up to Saunders and fired several shots at him then returned to the vehicle and escaped.

Saunders, 30, suffered multiple gunshots and died on the street.
His wife was not harmed.
