A 44-year-old man is dead following a shooting in the Piarco area on Tuesday night. The incident also left the victim’s 45-year-old friend nursing gunshot wounds.
The deceased has been identified as Rahman Madoo.
Police said Madoo was liming with his friend (who is yet to be identified), at 3B Drive, Piarco, at around 8 pm when a car pulled up alongside them and a group of men exited.
The suspect opened fire on the two men, hitting Madoo several times.
His friend was shot once.
Madoo died on the spot.
Homicide investigators are continuing enquiries.
