‘Shami’ killed while sleeping at his Carapo home

A man identified as Shamar ‘Shami’ James was killed this morning by gunmen at his home.

Reports indicate that 32-year-old James was asleep at his Unity Lane, Carapo, Arima home around 6:45am when he was awakened by someone calling his name.

When he emerged, it is alleged that gunmen then opened fire on James who collapsed on the road.

Responding officers found him lying in a pool of blood.

A number of spent ammunition was found between where James was shot and where he eventually died.
