Anti- Crime Exercises in Northern Division resulted in the arrest of 7 persons for Various Offences
During the period of 2pm to 10 pm on Friday 13th January, 2023 officers of the Northern Division conducted exercises which resulted in the arrest of seven persons for various offences.
In area North of the division, between the hours of 2pm to 5pm, members of the Northern Division Task Force (NDTF) conducted a roving drug exercise with concentration in D’Abadie, Malabar, Arima Central Business Area, Maturita, Hoyte Avenue and Pinto and arrested two persons, one for possession of apparatus and another for possession of cocaine and an apparatus.
Also between the hours of 6pm to 9pm within the La Horquetta and San Raphael Districts personnel of the Charge room and Criminal Investigations Department of the La Horquetta Police Station, paid conducted exercise in the Arena and Talparo areas paying particular attention to pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Two persons, one for Breach Of Protection Order and another for refusing to give a breath specimen.
Finally, during a roving road block exercise conducted between 6pm to 10 pm, members of the NDTF Area North, focusing on D’Abadie, Malabar, Arima Central Business Area, Maturita, Hoyte Avenue and Pinto districts, arrested three persons, two for possession of camouflage and one for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Failure to Produce Drivers Permit.
