Season 1 of new reality show “Carnival Catwalk’ to be filmed in T&T

International and Caribbean audiences are about to experience an electrifying reality television show like no other.
ITZ Rome, Star Global Production Studios and Pavilion Plus+ have teamed up with some of the producers of ‘Project Runway’ and ‘Making the Cut’ to produce a reality TV show titled “Carnival Catwalk”.

The series will be broadcasted to millions of viewers via international streaming platforms, alongside local and regional TV networks.

The show is carded to put the Caribbean on the map when it comes to fashion, entertainment, tourism, and culture. It takes the form of a head to head fashion designer competition TV show with a Carnival twist: “Where Fashion Meets Carnival”. 10 of the top Carnival Costume and fashion
designers from across the Caribbean, as well as some international fashion designers, will all be
put in one house and put through creative fashion competitions.

Hosted by VH1 reality TV actor and local celebrity host Itz Rome, Carnival Catwalk sets the stage for an unforgettable journey. Each challenge will be judged by a team of celebrity judges including renowned fashion designer and former Project Runway winner Anya Ayoung Chee and Miss Universe 1997 and former Caribbean’s Next Top model host and producer Wendy Fitzwilliam alongside international celebrity guest judges. This season’s Carnival Catwalk winner will get the opportunity for their designs to be displayed internationally, a life changing cash prize and a trip to attend an international fashion week, among other sponsored prizes.

In a resounding celebration of innovation and collaboration, Carnival Catwalk proudly announces its partnerships with The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, FilmTT, FashionTT, The Inter American Development Bank (IDB), Made 868, UTT, MIC, C15 Studios, Lollabee Productions and Sacha Cosmetics as they all converge their distinct expertise to bring to life this dynamic fusion of fashion, culture, and entertainment.

Season One is set to be filmed against the beautiful backdrop of Trinidad and Tobago’s twin isles in September to October 2023. A casting call for fashion and carnival designers who are interested in being a part of the show has been sent out by Vital Casting (Casting directors of Project Runway, Legally Blonde 2 and Making the Cut) and interested designers can apply at www.vitalcasting.com/carnival.
